DAYBOO CLYDESDALE STUD
We are located on the Hinds Highway near Ashburton in beautiful Mid Canterbury.
We stand the registered Clydesdale Stallion Rockwood Superb for approved mares. We breed crossbred and purebred young stock, which are occasionally for sale.
We work and show our horses and are available for hire for weddings and functions. We also teach our horses to plough here at Dayboo Stud and we compete at many matches across the South Island.
We love having visitors, it is good reason to work them, also we like seeing the smiles when they touch these gentle giants.

SPECIALIST EVENTS
At Dayboo Stud we attend and offer a range of services and do many specialist events.
We can turn our hand to most things so even if you have an idea not listed please contact us, as we will give most things a go!
SHOWING
We do a lot of A&P shows all over the South Island with our Gentle Giants. We take a range of Clydesdales of all ages from youngstock to seasoned horses to compete.
We compete and showcase our horses to the public and compete in classes such as Wagons, Sledge, Log skidding and Ridden.
We aim to do a new A&P Show every year somewhere we haven’t been before and we plan to one day head to the North Island to compete in a few shows up there.
PLOUGHING
Here at Dayboo Stud we teach our horses to plough. We compete at many matches across the South Island.
One of our most exciting ploughing matches is competing in the New Zealand Ploughing Competition, which we have to qualify for every year to be able to attend .
We have loads of fun while we are away at these matches and we love meeting new people being that of fellow competitors or spectators.
We love to teach and help and support people who are interested in the craft of ploughing with Clydesdales, so feel free to contact us or come and see us if you are out and about and see us at a match.
